Ghana boss CK Akonnor has urged Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey to reject any opportunity to sign for Arsenal.
With a £45m release clause in his contract, Partey has been heavily linked with a summer switch to the Emirates Stadium.
While it is unclear whether the Gunners can afford to pay the required fee, the versatile 27-year-old has been encouraged to continue his career at Wanda Metropolitano.
Speaking to Starr FM, Akonnor said: "Honestly, I wouldn't want him to move to Arsenal because with Atletico, he will always play Champions League football. His position is guaranteed and he will always play.

"With Arsenal, I'm not too sure. Arsenal fans will kill me [for saying he should not join them]. I hope that, and I'm sure money issues will come in, but I hope that whatever he asks for, Atletico will be able to pay."
Juventus have also been linked with an approach for Partey, who made 45 appearances in all competitions during the most recent campaign.
