2022 Afcon Qualifier: Nigeria-Sierra Leone - Rohr to field sharpshooter Osimhen against Leone Stars

Nigeria German Head Coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is fit and will unleash him against Sierra Leone when both teams lock horns in their 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier in Edo State, Nigeria on Friday 13 November.

The SSC Napoli striker was the last to hit the Super Eagles camp for the encounter.

Rohr declared Osimhen fit for the clash against Sierra Leone after the star's training with the rest of the team on Wednesday.

The 21-year old and other players suffered difficulties in arriving Nigeria from their respective bases due to travel restrictions across the globe, Rohr explained.

Rohr said: “Most of the players have difficulties in getting flights down here because of the travel restrictions . Some of them travelled via Addis Ababa in Ethiopia which was difficult."

Victor Osimhen missed out of Nigeria's international friendlies against current African Champions Algeria and Tunisia in Austria.

The Super Eagles fell to the Desert Warriors of Algeria by a lone goal and drew 1-1 against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

The striker is expected to be fielded against the Leone Stars on Friday.
