Champions League: Real Madrid 3-2 Inter - Rodrygo late goal give Los Blancos first win

Spanish side Real Madrid defeated Italian side Inter Milan in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday 3 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in Madrid, Spain.

Brazilian winger Rodrygo netted the winner for the Los Blancos as Real Madrid clinched their first victory in the continental tournament of the 2020/21 season.

The hosts took the lead in the 25th minute when French striker Karim Benzema placed the ball past goalie Samir Handanovic and defender Sergio Ramos extended the lead for Madrid in the 33rd minute through a header.

It was Ramos' 100th goal for Real Madrid.

Just two minutes after Ramos celebrated his goal, Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez pulled one for the visitors.

The Nerazzurri continued fighting until they clinched the equalizer in the 68th minute through 31-year old Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.

Real Madrid recorded their first Champions League 2020/21 triumph when Rodrygo converted fellow countryman Vinicius Junior's pass in the 80th minute.

With this result, Madrid have one win in the Champions League while Inter are yet to record a win.

In Group B, Zinedine Zidane's side are third with four points while Antonio Conte's side have only two points and are the bottom club.
