Giroud, 34, almost left the Blues last January only for Manager Frank Lampard to convince him to stay and subsequently hand him more playing chances in the second part of last season.
So far this season, the World Cup winner is yet to start a single Premier League match as a result of a busy summer and has placed the striker further down the pecking order at the club.
Recently, Giroud suggested that he could be forced to consider his options with one eye on next summer's European Championship.

The Athletic says, Chelsea are willing to grant him an amicable exit due to his service to the club over the past three years.
Italian Serie A club Inter Milan have been linked with a move for the France international, though, a final say has not been made over the Frenchman's future until closer to the January transfer window.
In 95 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, Olivier Giroud has recorded 29 goals and 14 assists.
