The Nigeria international has been missing in action for the English top flight club after picking up an injury during Leicester City's clash against Burnley on September 20, a game which the Foxes won 4-2 at the King Power Stadium.

Despite Ndidi's absence, Leicester City have been in top form recently, amassing great results which have moved them to the top spot of the Premier League table.

The 23-year old also missed out on Nigeria's international encounters both the friendlies and the 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Nigeria recorded unpleasant results in all their international games - in the friendlies, the Super Eagles lost to reigining African Champions Algeria by a lone goal and drew 1-1 against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Gernot Rohr's side drew both 2022 Afcon qualifiers against Sierra Leone, the first leg ended 4-4 while the second leg ended goalless.

Ndidi has fully returned to training for Brendan Rogers side and might field for Leicester City when they lock horns with current English champions Liverpool on Sunday 22 at 20:15 inside Anfield.

The Foxes will move from Anfield to the Estádio Municipal de Braga, Portugal where they will slug it out with Braga in their Europa League encounter on Thursday 26 at 18:55.
