Currently, both Mbappe and Neymar are out of action for the French Champions due to injuries.

The forward duo will have their contracts expire in 2022 and both have been linked with several moves over the past few months.

According to SportsMole, indeed, Neymar was tipped to complete a sensational switch back to Barcelona, which ultimately did not materialise, while Mbappe has reportedly been identified by Real Madrid as one of their top targets for 2021.

Leonardo, however, has revealed that the French outfit is currently in talks with their top playmakers as regards renewing their contracts.

PSG are also looking to keep Argentine winger Angel Di Maria at the Parc des Princes as the player is set to become a free agent next summer.

During a Question and Answer session, Leonardo told supporters: "We've started negotiations with Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria to extend their contracts.

"Remember that PSG suffered financial losses this year, we're in a complicated moment, it's not easy... but we're talking directly with Mbappe and Neymar."

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are currently at the top spot of the French Ligue 1 table with 24 points from 10 encounters.
