Premier League: Liverpool 0-0 Man United - Red Devils retain top spot, Alisson make two vital saves

Defending Champions Liverpool were held to a goalless draw at Anfield by Manchester United in their Premier League encounter on Sunday 17.

Bruno Fernandes was thwarted after the break by the outstretched leg of Alisson Becker.

The Red Devils went close to grabbing all three points through Paul Pogba's close-range effort, but Alisson saved well from the French midfielder.

Neither side could find the breakthrough as clear-cut chances were few all through the 90 minutes.

With this result, Manchester United remain toppers of the League with 37 points while Liverpool have amassed 34 points.
