AC Milan regained their three-point lead at the top of the Serie A table with a 2-0 victory at Cagliari, thanks to two goals by Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Inter Milan were level on points with AC Milan following their 2-0 win over defending champions Juventus on Sunday.
Ibrahimovic who has recorded 13 goals from 13 encounters this season, won and converted a penalty to open scoring for the Rossoneri early in the 7th minute.

The Swedish sharpshooter ensured Stefano Pioli's side clinched all three points when he completed his brace in the second half (52nd minute).
The visitors were reduced to ten men when Alexis Saelemaekers was sent off in the 74th minute.
AC Milan are Serie A leaders with 43 points while Cagliari are 17th with 14 points.
