2023 FIFA WWC: South Africa, Japan, others listed to host tournament

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association

FIFA, the World Football Governing Body has listed seven countries interested in hosting the 2023 Women's World Cup.


The countries include:

• South Africa
• Japan
• Australia
• New Zealand
• Colombia
• Thailand and possible co-host between South and North Korea.

This year's edition of the tournament will be hosted in Europe by France and 24 countries will do battle for the prestigious trophy.

FIFA during its symposium last week invited bids for the competition.

Before the end of 2019, FIFA will announce the eventual host.
