Spanish La Liga toppers Barcelona have continued to maintain their top position tightly this time around with a 10-point gap after they trounced Real Betis right inside their home by 4 goals to 1 on Sunday.

Obviously merciless, Barca's Argentine forward Lionel Messi netted a hat-trick of the finest quality to inspire the club to an amazing win at the Benito Villamarín Stadium.

Messi opened scoring for the visitors with a free-kick from 20 yards before he converted Luis Suarez's backheel pass with a toe-poked strike.

Barcelona remain La Liga toppers with 66 points, 10 points above Atletico Madrid who have 56 points while Real Betis are 8th with 39 points.
