Ahead of Monday’s Africa U-23 Africa Cup of Nations second leg qualifying fixture against Libya, Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa has promised the Under 23 Eagles ₦1m 💸💸 per goal.
Libya defeated the U-23 Eagles 2 - 0 in the first leg last week Wednesday at the Bengerdan Stadium, Tunisia.
Imama Amapakabo’s charges will look to overturn a two-goal deficit when they host the Libyans at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba and secure a place in the final qualifying round.
Following their arrival from Tunisia, the team trained for the first time at the venue of the game on Saturday evening.
According to CompleteSports, the Saudi Professional League side Al Nassr star Ahmed Musa made the pledge after watching the team train.
After beating Algeria 2 - 1 in the final, Nigeria won the second edition of the Under 23 Africa Cup Of Nations four years ago in Senegal.
The competition which will hold in Egypt this year will serve as the African qualifiers for the Men’s Football Tournament of Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
