West Ham Manager Pellegrini ready to pay Dzeko £165,000 per week until he is 35

The Bosnian international, 33, knows Pellegrini well from their time together at Manchester City and has been keeping close tabs on him this season.


Pellegrini is refusing to admit defeat in his bid to land the striker and is prepared to pay him around £165,000 a week over the next two seasons to move to the capital.

In January 2018 Dzeko turned down a move to Chelsea but has indicated that he is now willing to leave Italy for one last lucrative move.

He had said: “You can talk about five, six or seven players that are linked with us. We must not talk about one player.
“I know him well but we are not thinking about that at the moment.”

Dzeko said: “I love English football, I played in the Premier League for four-and-a-half years and enjoyed it a lot, even if I’m happy at Roma right now.”

West Ham will travel to London rivals Chelsea on Monday.

Pellegrini’s side currently sit 11th in the table, having won 12 of their 32 matches.
