Under 23 Eagles in training

Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles are yet to be paid their match bonus five weeks after they beat Libya to reach the final qualifying round for the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Egypt, CompleteSports says.

Victor Osimhen grabbed a hat-trick and Chidozie Okereke scored in stoppage time as
Under-23 Eagles defeated their Libyan counterparts 4-0 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in the second leg in Asaba to advance 4-2 on aggregate.

“We are looking forward to the final U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan but I’m not sure if I will be available for the game, we will see,” one of the players revealed in anonymity.

“They’ve not even paid us.”

Nigeria will be away to Sudan on June 5 before hosting the final leg on June 9 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
