Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone, has revealed he is "against" tampering with the rules in the event of a resumption: "It would be a different championship."


Serie A are discussing the necessary protocol to resume play and the IFAB has opened to exclude VAR and allow five substitutes during games.

The Viola CEO is hoping the Italian League will opt against.

"I'm against changing the rules from the start of the season," he told Radio Anch'io Sport.

"We're preparing for it, but it would be a different championship.

"We want the same rules as when we started."

My Opinion: His words really make sense. The season should finish with the same rules as it started.
