2022 AFCON Qualifying: Egypt 4-0 Comoros - Pharaohs cruise to top spot in Cairo
Egypt whitewashed Comoros 4-0 at the Cairo International Stadium in their 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Monday 29 to clinch Group G top spot.

Both countries have already secured spots for the continental football tournament in Cameroon prior to the encounter in the city of Cairo.
The Pharaohs netted all four goals within a small space of 10 minutes within the first 45 minutes.

Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny opened scoring for the hosts in the 15th minute, and four minutes later Mohamed Sherif made it two via a close range finish.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ensured he recorded his name on the goalscorer list when he scored the third goal in the 21st minute.

Salah went ahead to complete his brace in the 25th minute after converting an assist by Sherif.
The goal moved Salah up to 43 international goals for his home country Egypt and second on the all-time list, behind only Hossam Hassan.
This result moved Egypt to the top spot of Group G with 12 points, just three points above Comoros who are second-placed with 9 points.

On the other side, Kenya defeated Togo 2-1, with both countries finishing the 2022 AFCON Qualifying as third (7 points) and fourth (2 points) respectively.
Only the top two countries of each Group will qualify for the 2022 AFCON in Cameroon.
