Coach of French Ligue 1 side Nantes Christian Gourcuff said the fantastic form of Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is a surprise to him as he has no prior knowledge of the Nigerian before he joined Nantes on loan from Levante.
Simon settled down quickly in Ligue 1 with nine goals and assists before the League was brought to halt and declared null and void due to the coronavirus crisis.
However, he has already made a very good impression on the coaches.
24-year old Simon is widely regarded as the best player for Nantes last season and they have already confirmed that they will trigger the option of buying him permanently when the transfer window opens.
"We soon realized that he would be a good choice," Gourcuff told RMC Sports.
"I didn't know him at first, but his track records and qualities are great.
"From the moment there was an option to buy him, we had no doubts.
"The player himself also said that he wanted to stay."
