"Juventus are still far away" from the Champions League, they lack the "mentality" - Di Livio

Angelo Di Livio believes Juventus are lacking the ‘aggression, ruthless streak and attachment to the shirt’ they had under Max Allegri, ‘the new Marcello Lippi’.
Juve swapped Allegri for Sarri last summer, but the Bianconeri are only a point clear of Lazio at the top of Serie A and lost the first leg of their Champions League Last-16 tie with Olympique Lyonnais 1-0.
“Juventus are still far away [from the Champions League],” Di Livio, who made 269 appearances for the Old Lady in the 1990s, told Corriere dello Sport.
“They’ve also found it difficult in the league and, in fact, a super Lazio have resurfaced, only a point behind. They risk [throwing both away].
“In the Champions League with Lyon they have a result to overturn, but I didn’t like their mentality all that much.
“Aggression, a ruthless streak and attachment to the shirt are all currently missing. They’ve come across a bit sluggish to me this season.”
Di Livio hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as a ‘super champion’.
“He’s a super champion, you must always let him play. He’s an example for how he trains and lives his life.”
