Newcastle move up to 12th with a fine victory. The first half was tight, but Newcastle took control once Sheffield United had John Egan sent off.


Allan Saint-Maximin and Matt Ritchie put them 2-0 up before Joelinton produced the feelgood moment of the day by scoring his first league goal at St James’ Park.

The Magpies are 12th on the table with 38 points while Sheffield United are The Blades are 7th with 44 points.
