Inter and Atalanta have only one player each in Opta’s best XI for the 2019-20 Serie A season, as Cristiano Ronaldo and Ciro Immobile star in attack with Papu Gomez and Paulo Dybala.
Inter and Atalanta ended second and third in the final table, but only had one representative each in Opta’s best XI based on their data for the season.
With Wojciech Szczesny in goal, Juan Cuadrado at right-back, Dybala and Ronaldo in the attacking trident behind Lazio forward Immobile, champions Juventus had four players in the side.
Lazio could boast three in every joint of the team, with Francesco Acerbi at the back and Luis Alberto in the middle, as only two Italians making the best XI this term.
Theo Hernadez of Milan has earned a spot at left-back, with Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz in the midfield duo next to mentioned Luis Alberto. Stefan de Vrij is the only representative from the Beneamata, placed next to Acerbi in the heart of the defence.
