An extra-time penalty from Portuguese pro midfielder Bruno Fernandes helped Manchester United scale through FC Copenhagen and into the last four of the Europa League.
The Red Devils will slug it out with the winner between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sevilla on Tuesday 11 August, 20:00.
Man United were low in performance in much of the first fourty-five minutes in the heat of Cologne, and had a goal cancelled by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
Fernandes and forward Mason Greenwood hit the post each and Marcus Rashford had an effort disallowed.
