Rangers will be without new boy Leon Balogun after he picked up a quad injury against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.

The centre back has started his Ibrox career well but was replaced at half time by Filip Helander during the 3-0 win.

And now Steven Gerrard has revealed he will miss Sunday's game against Livingston, with the club awaiting scan results before determining the full extent of the problem.

The Rangers boss is yet to decide on who will replace him with George Edmundson and Filip Helander both impressing during their time on the pitch so far this season.

Gerrard will also have Kemar Roofe available again despite a poor challenge on the Rangers new boy from Jason Kerr, although he's likely to be left on the bench again.

He said: "Leon Balogun won't be available for the weekend, he has a small quad problem and we are waiting on results from a scan."

Rangers FC Head Coach Steven Gerrard has confirmed Nigeria defender Leon Balogun is injured and "won't be available for the weekend"
