Nigeria striker Igboun thrilled to join Dynamo Moscow on a permanent deal

Sylvester Igboun

Nigeria forward Sylvester Igboun says he is pleased to continue his stay at Dynamo Moscow after signing a permanent deal with the Russian top division side.

Igboun penned a two-year contract with the White and Blues on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Dynamo Moscow from another Russian outfit Ufa.

Igboun scored two goals and registered one assist in 20 league appearances for the club during the 2019/20 season.

He has now thanked the team’s management for their belief in his ability, saying he was looking forward to helping the team in the next two seasons.

“Permanent deal in Dynamo Moscow, let me start by thanking the management for believing in me and for another two-year opportunity to carry on with them,” Igbonu wrote on Instagram.

“My first-year loan in Dynamo Moscow was good, even though we had our ups and downs but at the end of the season, we can be pleased with how we finished.  I have another two years with the team, who have shown me nothing but love since my arrival. I look forward to many great things we are going to achieve together in the future.”

The striker, who has five caps for the Super Eagles, is currently in pre-season with the team and will be hoping to hit the ground running in the 2020/20 campaign.Brilla
