Serie A 2020-21: 'We are excited' to be back - Donnarumma

Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma said he was ‘excited’ to be back for the new season and hopes to build on the recent results through a ‘strong restart’.


Donnarumma’s 13 clean sheets in 2019-20 helped coach Stefano Pioli lift the Rossoneri to sixth in Serie A, securing a place in the Europa League in 2020-21.

The Italy international hopes to build on the positive run of 13 games unbeaten after the lockdown.

“We are very excited,” he told Milan TV as he arrived at Milanello. “The first training session went well yesterday.

“We want to restart strong. Forza Milan!”
