Ibrahimovic 'has done what we expected from him' - Former AC Milan striker Shevchenko

Former hero Andriy Shevchenko said Milan did well to keep Zlatan Ibrahimovic. ‘He has done what we expected from him’.

The Ukrainian scored 175 goals in 322 during his eight seasons at San Siro and helped the Rossoneri pick up one Scudetto, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.


And the 43-year-old has praised veteran Zlatan, who returned to Milan in January, during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“If he still has something to give, if he’s still motivated, I would always keep him,” Shevchenko said.

“In recent months, he has done what we expected from him.

“He played with intelligence and guided his teammates. Ibra always responds on the pitch.”
