Champions League: Man United 5-0 RB Leipzig - Rashford comes off bench to score hat-trick

Manchester United walloped RB Leipzig inside the Old Trafford by five goals to nil in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Wednesday 28.

English forward Marcus Rashford came off the bench to score a hat-trick to ensure the Red Devils maintained their 100% start to the continental tournament.


19-year old Mason Greenwood opened scoring for United in the 21st minute with an assist from French Midfielder Paul Pogba. It was Greenwood's first Champions League goal.


England international Marcus Rashford came on just after the hour mark to net thrice just within a space of sixteen minutes to help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side keep a clean sheet.


Rashford's goals came in the 74th, 78th and 90th minutes.

French forward Anthony Martial was tripped in the box just three minutes to full-time and he converted from the penalty spot to score Manchester United's fourth goal.


This is another outstanding triumph for the Red Devils following their 2-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain in their first UCL 2020/21 match.


With two games successfully played, Manchester United have accumulated six points and are Group E toppers while RB Leipzig are third with three points.
