Covid-19: Manchester United new addition Alex Telles test positive

Manchester United new Brazilian signing Alex Telles has tested positive for coronavirus, Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer disclosed.

Telles featured for the Red Devils in their Champions League clash against French side Paris Saint-Germain which ended 2-1 in favour of the English side, however, missed the Premier League encounter against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Brazil international missed out of Man United's 5-0 UCL triumph over German side RB Leipzig inside the Old Trafford on Wednesday 28 due to his Covid-19 positive status.

The Norwegian Boss, disclosed to MUTV: "Yeah he's been out now for a little while because he has tested positive for coronavirus.

"No symptoms, he's fine and we can't wait to have him back."

Manchester United will slug it out with Arsenal this Sunday in a Premier League game at the Old Trafford and Alex Telles will not field for the Red Devils.

It is unclear when the left-back will return to action for the 20-time English top flight winners.
