AFCON 2022 Qualifier: Nigeria vs Sierra Leone - Striker Onuachu promises to take his chances

Nigeria will lock horns with Sierra Leone in their 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations (2022) qualifier in Edo State, Nigeria.

Belgian club Genk forward Paul Onuachu has declared he will make the best of his chance for the Super Eagles against the Leone Stars if called upon by the Nigeria Head Coach Gernot Rohr for the two-legged 2022 AFCON qualifier.


The Nigeria-Sierra Leone encounter will take place on Friday, 13 November at the multi-purpose Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in the city of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria.


Onuachu is a joint top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler League also known as the Belgian First Division A, which is the top flight football league in Belgium.

The Nigeria striker has netted nine times for his Belgian club Genk this 2020/21 season, same number of goals as Austrian midfielder Raphael Holzhauser of Beerschot who is number one on the top scorers list in the Belgian top flight.


Paul Onuachu told Brila.net that he is proud of his achievements in Belgium and looks forward to bringing his best to the National team if given the opportunity.
