FA Cup: Wolves 0-2 Southampton - Saints 'can win the FA Cup' - Hasenhuttl

Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has said that Saints 'can win the FA Cup' after Southampton clinched a beautiful 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in their FA Cup match at the Molineux on Thursday 11.

With this win, Southampton have reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.


Danny Ings opened scoring for the visitors and Stuart Armstrong sealed victory in the 90th minute helping Hasenhuttl record his first win after four losses back-to-back.


The Saints will lock horns with Championship side AFC Bournemouth in the last eight on 20 or 21 March.

In his post-match comments, Saint Head Coach Ralph Hasenhuttl said: "We said when we were more comfortable in the league we can focus on the cup.


"We haven't had an easy time in the last few weeks so it's important to win and they [Southampton players] have been convinced about what they are doing.


"We want to go for the FA Cup and this is a chance to win something. We have a south coast derby now which is always intense and we will go there trying to win."
