Juventus draw up three-man shortlist of Pirlo replacements

Juventus don’t have enough money to hire Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola and Gian Piero Gasperini, Simone Inzaghi and Luciano Spalletti are possible replacements for Andrea Pirlo, La Repubblica reports.

The former midfield maestro has been under fire after Juventus fell by a lone go to Benevento at home in their weekend Serie A encounter on Sunday.

The Bianconeri are 10 points behind Serie A toppers Inter and have crashed out of the UEFA Champions League 2020/21 after losing by away goals to Portuguese opponents Porto FC in their Round of 16 tie.

Pirlo’s job is not safe anymore and reports a list of potential replacements, Repubblica.it confirms.

If Pirlo is sacked in June, Gian Piero Gasperini, Luciano Spalletti and Simone Inzaghi will be considered to replace the former midfielder.

Massimiliano Allegri remains a possible replacement for Andrea Pirlo, however, his weak relationship with Pavel Nedved and Fabio Paraciti would prevent his Allainz Stadium return.

Speaking about his Juventus exit in 2019, Allegri disclosed to SkySports: “We reached a natural ending. There were differences of opinion. The President made the decision and I still have a good rapport with Andrea Agnelli.”
