Paulo Fonseca will leave Italian outfit AS Roma if he fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and three candidates could take his place as head coach.

Fonseca, whose side fell at home to SSC Napoli by two goals to nothing will exit the club if he fails to make it into the top four.
The Portuguese Boss' contract will expire in June, however, a clause would grant his permanence at the Stadio Olimpico with a Champions League placement.
The Giallorossi are 5 points off the Atalanta who are placed fourth on the Serie A table as well as have been unable to clinch a win against any of the top six teams in the League.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes Maurizio Sarri and Massimiliano Allegri are the leading candidates to take over at the club, should Fonseca leave.
According to the report, Allegri has already expressed his appreciation for the Friedkins’ project, but his economic demands may be an obstacle.
