Completing the transfer from Barcelona at a cost of €72m plus up to €10m in bonuses, Arthur Melo becomes one of the all-time four most expensive Juventus signings.

The deal and specific figures were confirmed via a statement from the Blaugrana website this afternoon.

Arthur still earns his place in the history books as the fourth most expensive signing for Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo stands a long way out front with €117m from Real Madrid, followed by Gonzalo Higuain’s €90m release clause activated from Napoli.

Matthijs de Ligt cost €85.5m to purchase from Ajax last summer, putting him on the podium.

Arthur comes in at €72m plus up to €10m in various add-ons and performance-related bonuses.
