Covid-19: Serie B club SPAL announce three positive cases

SPAL (Società Polisportiva Ars et Labor) finished 20th (last position) out of 20 clubs in the recently concluded Serie A 2019-20 season and have been relegated to Serie B which is the second tier of Italian club football

SPAL have announced three positive cases of coronavirus in the first team squad, one of them is defender Kevin Bonifazi.


“SPAL announce that, in the light of further medical tests provided for by the protocols and carried out on the first team in the past few hours, three Biancazzurri members has tested positive to COVID-19,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The three members, all asymptomatic and placed in home isolation in agreement with the health authorities as required by the same protocol, are: Kevin Bonifazi and two other members.”
