Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi helped Stoke City to their first win of the season away at Preston North End on Saturday.


Mikel who was rested for the midweek Carabao Cup game was restored in the starting line up by Coach Michael O’Neil and it proved to be a right decision as the Nigerian went on to play a crucial role in the victory.

Mikel provided the assist for the only goal of the game at the Deepdale on Saturday.

The former Chelsea midfielder sent a low cross onto the path of Lee Gregory in the 39th minute who made no mistake from inside the box.

The former Super Eagles Captain featured for 90 minutes in the game and here is his game by numbers.
