2022 World Cup Qualifying (UEFA): World number one Belgium come from behind to beat Wales 3-1
Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign has kicked off in defeat as Belgium who are ranked number one in the World fought from the back to clinch a 3-1 triumph at the Den Dreef Station in Leuven, Belgium.

Wales took an early lead as Harry Wilson, who was played in by Gareth Bale, netted in the 10th minute.
However, Belgium hustled back as goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Thorgan Hazard in the 22nd and 28th minutes sent Roberto Martinez's side in at half-time with the lead.
Striker Romelu Lukaku ensured the hosts clinched victory as he netted from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute to make it 3-1 after Chris Mepham brought down Dries Mertens.

With this victory, Belgium record a 13th straight competitive win at home, and are behind Czech Republic in Group E.

Wales will host Czech Republic in their next World Cup qualifier at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday.
