Donnarumma whose contract of €6m-a-year will expire in June and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Agent Mino Raiola wants a new two-year, €10m deal for his client.

The Rossoneri are not open to accepting Raiola's conditions and have put forward a three-year, €7.5m deal for the goalkeeper.

Raiola told journalists, “You must leave Gigio alone, because he is trying to achieve something very important for Milan and for his career.

“The rest will be done secretly, without letting you know anything, it’s like this and it will always be like this.”

The report claims Agent Raiola wants Donnarumma to become the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world after David De Gea of Manchester United, however, negotiations with the Italian football outfit are difficult with the Milan-based club running out of time.

Including a release clause in Donnarumma’s new contract could be the key to reaching an agreement, but the two parties haven’t discussed this possibility yet.

Donnarumma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain the only Milan players who can have a salary beyond €4m-a-year.
