It the the first time since 2004/05 both playmakers failed to scale through the Round of 16 of the tournament, perhaps, marking the end of an era.
The Bianconeri and the Catalans will not feature in the quarter finals of the Champions League 2020/21 after Juve were eliminated in the Round of 16 by FC Porto on away goals after extra time and Barca failed to overturn the 4-1 first leg home defeat to PSG.
In the encounter against PSG in Paris, Messi netted an amazing goal, however, saw his penalty pushed onto the crossbar by Keylor Navas.

Ronaldo was in action in their match against FC Porto where he assisted Juve's first goal by Federico Chiesa, but his efforts were not enough to help Andrea Pirlo's side secure a spot in the UCL 2020/21 quarter finals.
