2019 AFCON Qualifiers: Nigeria win Group E after 3 - 1 home win against Seychelles

Nigeria finished as Group E toppers with 13 points

Nigeria, on Friday, defeated Seychelles 3 - 1 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, in their final 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier as they win Group E with 13 points.

The Super Eagles have already qualified for the tournament which will take place in Egypt.

In the first half, it was difficult for the Super Eagles to break down the Pirates before striker Odion Ighalo scored the opener from the penalty spot.

Before the break, Rody Melanie shocked home fans with an equalizer following goalkeeper Frank Uzoho's blunder.

Onyekuru, early in the second half, put the Super Eagles back in front with a header converting Jamiliu Collins' cross.

Moses Simon sealed the victory for the Super Eagles with the third goal as the hosts finished as Group E toppers with 13 points.

Nigeria will do battle with Egypt in an international friendly next week Tuesday at the same venue.
