Prices of tickets for Super Eagles upcoming games against Seychelles and Egypt have been increased by the Delta State Government.

Patrick Ukah, Commissioner for Information, made the announcement at a news conference in Asaba on Wednesday.

He disclosed the new rates were introduced to help in crowd management saying that the crowd of football fans that troop into the stadium to watch football matches was always enormous and there's the need to control the situation effectively.

Ukah stated:
“The Stephen Keshi Stadium will now have new gate fees. The VIP box is now N10,000 with lots of refreshment and entertainment for ticket-holders.”

“The covered stand will now go for N3,000, while the popular stand still remains N1,000."

Before the new rates, the VIP stand was usually free for those who were allowed in with invitation cards.

The covered stand used to go for N2,000.

The Super Eagles will do battle with the Seychelles Pirates on Friday and then move on to slog it out with the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday in an international friendly, both games at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba Delta State.

The Seychelles Pirates have already arrived Nigeria for the clash against the Super Eagles.
