International Friendly: Musa will not play against Egypt, returns to Saudi Arabia

Ahmed Musa, Nigeria vice captain, will not feature for the Super Eagles against Egypt in an international friendly on Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba as he has returned to Saudi Arabia.
Musa, who plays for Saudi Professional League side Al Nassr, did not join the rest of the team in training this morning.
The Nigeria international, who was uninspiring against Seychelles on Friday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba blamed his poor performance to the bad condition of the Asaba pitch.
However, the Super Eagles emerged victorious against the Pirates, winning 3 - 1.
Musa, on behalf of the team has assured a better performance from the Super Eagles against the Pharaohs, who would also be without top player Mohamed Salah.
Musa told journalists: “We are going to play an improved game against Egypt. It was a tough game for us against Seychelles because the pitch is not too good if we compare it with the type of pitch we use at our various clubs.”
“We will lift our game because we know that this is the final friendly game window before the preparations for the AFCON will start proper."
