Michael Salgado, Assistant Coach of Egypt National Football Team, has said that, the Super Eagles are favorites to go far in competing for the title at the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations in Egypt.


Paul Onuachu netted the only goal of the game and winner for the Super Eagles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba. A game defender William Troost-Ekong said the Super Eagles won by luck.

Salgado disclosed to Egypt's online media outlet, OnSport: “Nigeria are one of the strongest African teams, and they are favourites to go far in the African Cup of Nations.”

“The game against Nigeria was a tough test and a huge challenge for us.

"It was a chance for the new and young players to prove they deserve the chance to play for the national team.”
