After the Arthur Melo to Juventus announcement, now it is also official that Miralem Pjanic is sold to Barcelona for €60m plus €5m add-ons, with a €400m release clause.

It is essentially an exchange between the players, with an additional €12m in cash and a further €10m in variable add-ons going to the Blaugrana.

The transfers were announced in two different statements, because while Barca could spill the news earlier, Juve had to wait until the Italian stock exchange had closed.

“FC Barcelona and Juventus have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Miralem Pjanic. The cost of the operation will be 60 million euros plus 5m in variables,” read a Barcelona statement.

“The player will sign a contract with the club for the next four seasons, until the end of the 2023/24 season, with a buy-out clause of 400 million euros.

“The player will remain with Juventus until the 2019/20 season is over.”
