Inter have confirmed Antonio Conte will continue as head coach at San Siro, after a ‘constructive’ meeting between the tactician and patron Steven Zhang.

The former Juventus coach revealed after the Europa League Final that he was uncertain regarding his own future but has agreed with President Zhang to stay on and have another go at winning the Scudetto next season.

Sky Sport Italia reported that the respective lawyers were present during the meeting taking place in a villa outside Milan.

But the club has confirmed Conte as their head coach ahead of the 2020-21 season.

“Today’s meeting between the club and Antonio Conte was constructive, in the name of continuity and shared strategy,” the club wrote in an official statement.

“The foundations were established to continue the project together.”

Inter finished second in Serie A, reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and closed the campaign runners-up in the Europa League in Conte’s first season in charge.

Sky Sport Italia claims both sporting director Piero Ausilio and CEO Beppe Marotta will stay put and continue working for the Nerazzurri.
