Sacked Manchester United Boss Jose Mourinho has confessed that ex-Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger is one of the best managers in football history.

That worthy compliment on Wenger came from an unlikely source in view of the fact that Mourinho was the author of the scathing adjective, ‘Specialist In Failure’, with which he maligned the Frenchman in the heat of their long-standing bust-up as Premier League coaches.

His relationship with Wenger during his time as Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League, Mourinho said, “there were some episodes along the road, I can only speak by myself, I really enjoyed the competition.”

“But the real respect was always there. He made lots of history in that football club (Arsenal).

“He is one of the best football managers in the history of football.”
