The President of Catalonia Quim Torra i Pla has saluted Barcelona star Lionel Messi. ‘Catalonia will always be your home’.

The Blaugrana received a letter from La Pulce today, where the Argentine talisman asked for a transfer away from Camp Nou this summer.


The club will reportedly fight to keep Messi, but the President of Catalonia has thanked the hero for his time in the city.

“Catalonia will always be your home,” Quim Torra wrote on Twitter.

“Thank you so much for all this time of happiness and extraordinary football.

“We were lucky enough to share a few years of our life with the best player in the world. And a noble athlete. We will never forget you Leo Messi, St. George’s Cross.”
