Located in Rungra Island, Pyongyang, North Korea - The Rundrago May Day Stadium is the largest stadium in the world by capacity and has been upgraded to meet international standards.
North Korea unveiled their newly-renovated stadium to the world through social media. The country posted selected photos showing new seats, changing rooms as well as a warm-up room branded with the FIFA Logo on the wall.
The Stadium was completed on 1st May, 1989 and is currently used for football matches, athletics competitions and lavish displays of gymnastic and artistic performances called "mass games" making it a multi-purpose stadium.
Other features of the stadium:
• It can officially seat 150,000 people, however, the real capacity is under 114,000
• The main pitch sprawls across over 22,500 m² (242,200 ft²).
• Its total floor space is over 207,000 m² (2.2 million ft²) across eight stories
• From the ground, its roof peak at more than 60 m (197 ft)

• Collision in Korea 1995 (professional wrestling event)
• Inter-Korean Summit Pyeongyang 2018
